Georgian restaurant Bevri at 530 Bryant is open for business. Unique items are the soups and choice of soup dumplings, the cheese-filled bread, and the Georgian wine (white and red).
Opa finally closed at University and High. I never thought the food was up to par. Their other locations (with either less discriminating patrons or lower rent) remain open.
Creamistry is closed, which I am not sad about but still a little surprised. I guess it was clever, but slow and expensive. I’m still going to Gelato Classico on Emerson whenever I have that craving.
Replacing Creamistry at 164 University will be Onigilly, which does not look like a Japanese word but is pronounced like one. They specialize in not exactly sushi (and not fish-centric at all) but rather brown sushi rice with your choice of fillings and wrapped in seaweed. Available by themselves, in sets, or as salads without the seaweed. Many items under $3.
As for Arte Ristorante (473 University), I was skeptical when I saw the sign on the door in December that said “Closed for Renovation”. I knew it needed no renovation. I did not think business was particularly strong but the reason behind the closing is not that. The sign really should read “Closed for Radiation”. Poor Mario (and family).

Bevri is open; Opa is closed; Creamistry is closed; bad news at Arte
